The most common issues we see are blown motors, broken thermostats, uneven heating or cooling, and clogged air filters. Connecticut’s temperature extremes put extra stress on HVAC systems, especially during our cold winters and humid summers.
Dirty filters are probably the biggest problem we encounter. When filters get clogged, your system works harder, uses more energy, and wears out faster. Simple filter changes every 1-3 months can prevent many service calls.
Thermostat problems often develop gradually—you might notice some rooms are too hot or cold, or your system runs constantly without reaching the set temperature. These issues usually get worse over time if not addressed.
